Given this approach, value is based on the condition of the vehicle upon date of assessment and adjustment for condition thereof may be based on one or a combination of factors.

Vehicle Assessment

Pre- repair inspection

The purpose of a Pre-repair inspection is to document and thoroughly inspect the condition of the vehicle prior drop-off at the repair garage in the presence of client in order to identify defects requiring repairs. This requirement is meant to improve transparency in general vehicle repairs. It will also help all parties (client and repair shop) to agree on the extent of the damages/defects and the necessary scope of the repairs to be carried out. If the Repair garage detects any additional items that require attention on the vehicle, we are consulted to advice client on whether or not to authorize the same.

The inspection covers general vehicle examination, including details of any faults detected, and a complete road test of the vehicle will be carried out over a reasonable distance to establish the performance, drivability and handling qualities of the vehicle.

Post-repair inspection

It must be highlighted that another quality assurance service we provide is the Post – repair inspection. This inspection ensures that the repairs that ought to have been done are in fact completed, and that those that were done, were done properly and thoroughly.

This is more of a quality assurance activity aimed at obviating unprecedented scenarios whereby poor-quality repairs may prematurely cause repair related diminished value.

Claim assessment/loss adjustment services

Inspect-A-Car Fleet Consultants conduct such inspections upon requests from Insurance companies. We do both motor and non-motor claim assessments. Instructions are received by email and we endeavour to forward the completed report within 36 hours thereafter.
